Problem with Mike Folder

Hi everyone,
My first post and I am looking for some advice. I have two bikes one of which is a Mike folder. It is a single speed rear motor SLA battery which has a reset button on the battery case. When I climb hills (most of the time in Mid Wales ) even though I provide a lot of assistance the reset pops out and cuts the power. It can be reset immediately. Is this protecting the battery, the controller or the motor and how can I prevent it happening.Originally posted this elsewhere.

I suspect that the reset trip is just over-sensitive. Especially if this is happening under a heavy load eg. hill climbing.
I would suggest opening up the trip mechanism and bypassing it with a fuse in its place. 25A fuse would probably be suitable.
We can check it out / sort this for you if you are near us.

I have now tried what Jimblob sujested by inserting a 15 amp fuse inline in place of the reset trip. So far it seems to be working fine and I can now zip up hills with no problem. Many thanks for the advice.
