Hi...I have a new...to me...Freego Eagle.

I cannot remove the battery....the instructions state.....This's word for word.. :)

(To remove the battery with the key in the off position push the key into the battery and turn in an anti clockwise direction, you will see a small lug at the top of the battery disappear within the casing, You will now be able to slide the battery up and off the retaining rail.

....I see the lug....Unfortunately the battery does not slide out....any advice please.

....It may be that the battery has been charged in situ for the previous 12 months.

The second problem is....I need some new brake pads

Can anyone advise on removing the existing pads to enable verification of the correct pads.

....any help appreciated.....thanks....Mike

Have you tried pushing the key inwards then turning it so the lug then re-tracks in.
Plus they are quite tight on the terminals and may be slightly hard to pull out.

On the back of the pads should be some coding so that you can id them.

Ensure the security lug has fully retracted, thereafter the battery will need a firm yank to release it from the contact pad. It just needs a really good tug!

The brake pads are accessed by disassembly of the calipers. Undo the Allen bolts and it all comes apart. Takes 5 minutes. Pads can then be cleaned or replaced.

New pads available here: DiscoBrakes.Com :: Shop :: Disc Pads :: Tektro :: Lyra Novela Iox :: OBE-DT03S

......thanks Zebb.......Eaglerider....at present I have charged it in situ...not sure whether the battery is locked on or locked off :)

...thanks for the info on the pads Eaglerider, I've ordered the ones you've linked to.
The guy on Utube took the wheel off....Is that not necessary ? also he used a spacer...not needed ?

...again thanks guys....Mike
