Puncture Resistant Tyres

Can anyone advise the most suitable puncture resistant tyre to fit my 2013 Kalkhoff Agattu Impulse fitted with 28'' wheels.
Also what size do I need as I find the mixture of metric and imperial very confusing.

Schwalbe Marathon Plus ... Tour variant is versatile for most conditions. Other types are available if you want slicker tyres etc. These are the ones I fitted - from same supplier as link :

They will both fit your wheels / rim.

Just picked up my new bike and had Marathon Plus tyres fitted. They roll along nicely. I couldn't get the special inner tubes so had to have the ones with the bike slimed up.

As has been said, Marathon Plus for puncture resistance.

You shouldn't need special tubes, but as you are taking the original tyres off, worth putting on new tubes if only to get rid of those stupid Woods/Dunlop valves which come as original equipment.

Schrader is the best valve to go for, the only good reason to fit Presta is if you have a very narrow roadie wheel, which you don't.

Thank you for the advice...have fitted Marathon Plus tyres and Protek tubes as suggested.

Kalkhoff and some other Derby Cycles bikes. Sadly the Woods/Dunlop valve is still unaccountably popular in the cycling countries of the continent, odd for countries that are usually so sensible in cycling matters.

I've not seen a woods valve for decades.

Both my Trek FX hybrid and Mountain bike have Presta valves.

Weird indeed. I can only think it's habit since they never stopped cycling from the days when that valve was the most common bicycle one.

The widespread departure from cycling in Britain between about 1960 and the early 1980s provided a break that meant we didn't carry over any traditions/customs/habits. For example, when we stopped cycling it was nearly all hub gears, but when we restarted with mountain biking, derailleurs were dominant and hub gears were forgotten and nowhere to be seen.
