Sorry it should say (RECUMBENT) Has anyone tried or built an electric trike, I have a couple of powabyke front motor wheels and I thought about using them for a project. I would welcome your thoughts on this. John

I have a GreenSpeed GLR with hub assist and a Performer JC70 with crank assist, I did build a delta trike with 2 front forks for the rear wheels and a moving bottom bracket front wheel drive, very ugly, very fast and handle extremely well for a delta but it had 2" ground clearance and 5" seat height. :)
The point being that the 2 forks would have made great homes for 2 front hubs, keep the weight to the rear and low on a delta as they do not handle as well as a tadpole.
You could do a tadpole with the same setup, but tadpoles require very percise front wheel mounting, alignment and preferably Akerman compensation to really work well.

There has been quite a few examples of electric trikes.

If you enter "Electric trikes" in the search box on top of the page it will give you a start. Also search for electric trikes on Youtube.
