The London Test an ebike day,Sunday afternoon,April 7 is gaining in support,as well as Kudos,Powerpedals(Tonaros) and Cycleezee have confirmed attendance,5 others are stongly considering....I don't want more than 10 suppliers, that is enough to have a good choice of test bikes, without the circuit becoming too busy.
If any other ebike supplier wishes to attend please let me know.
I am hoping that this event takes over from the well loved Tour de Presteigne. The timing is ideal, allowing testing of ebikes in early spring for a summer ebike purchase.
regards
Dave

Some Pedelec members have asked whether it is possible to park their motorhomes at the cycling track either before or after the test day. Unfortunately the cycling centre have confirmed that their lease does not permit this.
However, they have suggested a campsite 10 mins away.....Welcome to Woodland Camp

Dave would be great to know all the suppliers which will be there! I am choosing between this event and another one later in the year.
Thanks,
DW

BH Emotion Bikes
Cyclezee
Green Zebra Cycles
GoCycle
KTM
Momentum
Powerpedals(Tonaro)
Woosh
EZ Riders
CycleLife(Haibike)
Kudos.
Just out of interest what is the other event later in the year?
We pulled this show forwards from last year so as to make the bikes available before most people have made their buying decisions, after May most have bought their bikes,or at least decided on what they will buy.

Yes thanks Dave, I went out today for the first time in 6 days for a couple of hours retail therapy and a bit of helicopter spotting.......but seemingly OldDave is grounded by the "wrong type of cold oil " :D

I was SO ill on Saturday, completely wasted my romantic weekend and I couldnt even stay awake for Spiral but then I had the guilty pleasure of watching it in bed on iPlayer on monday.......Inspector Montelbano does absolutely nothing for me but oooooh was spoilt for choice in Borgen :D

Not long now till April.......

The London Electric Bike Show I understand is a good social event to meet with the BEBA guys,I understand it was good fun last year but the Redbridge show is a completely different event,it is for customers/traders who genuinely want to thoroughly test a bike-test its handling, test its hill climbing, test its brakes etc. The two events have completely different functions.
As a trade member I would have thought that both shows have a relevance to your business.

Thanks Dave we are memebers of BEBA. Normally limit ourselves to NEC show as most people are there. Leaning towards Redbridge as testing a bike is most important.

I have just been advised that Kudos will stock the KTM 29er Race and the KTM 26 Macina Bold. For demo bikes at Redbridge and most of the April roadshows we will have the following bikes-
KTM Macina 29-11 speed Alfine-Bosch crank drive
KTM E-Race 26-27 speed Deore XT-Bionx rear hub motor.

The Redbridge event does look good Dave, you are doing a great job!

The BEBA London day at Regents park is more designed to get as many "non e-bike converts" onto an EAPC as possible. Of course we will again this year see trade and the seasoned electric bike enthusiast but the course is much shorter than at Redbridge to ensure the test rides are kept to a maximum of around 5 minutes so we can get as many bums on seats as possible and cater to the long queues that will no doubt form again this year.

Although BEBA members have organised and sponsor the event is not limited to BEBA members only as per last year, everyone is invited although space is very limited. It is expensive and a weekend more about introducing EAPCs to the general public so may not appeal to every supplier.

All the best

David

I was just thinking.........looking on the bright side, weather wise......the longer this awful weather continues......the more likely it is that for Redbridge it will be perfect.....so, lets just happily grit our teeth and suffer for now lol........I am sure its going to be worth it :)
