have decided to swap handlebars , with my old Raleigh pioneer not easy, to remove fittings sraight forward, but removing end grips*****XX without damage now job done OK, .. come to Forza and ok until i try to remove cat eye mirror, should have known what this would be like after the job of fitting it, .filing and brute force. resulting in breaking one of grip tags, but worked fine.

What i need to know is simply how is it done ,i have removed mirror but do i need to remove plastic screw holder or will this come of when ../? I REMOVE GRIP. i don't want break if can be avoided clip.....thanks for taking time in reading message .

If you mean the boss of the Cateye mirror in the end of the bar, just slacken the screw a fair amount and it should twist out fairly easily. You shouldn't completely undo it's screw.

It sounds to me as though you have the wrong Cateye mirror, the BM300G. This is intended for the larger diameter drop handlebars.

The one for smaller diameter normal bars is the Cateye BM 500G which slides in easily.
