Hi,

Earlier in the year I purchased a used Agattu and did no more than 50 miles and had a major fault. Always a gamble with a used bike.

On a journey from home I lost all drive to the chain on my Kalkhoff Agattu 2012 model. Since it's out of warranty I decided to take the plunge and investigate the problem myself. Now the engine casing is open I can clearly see the fault on a part that sits round the bottom bracket. The casing of a sprocket has exploded, picture attached.

Does anyone know where I can purchase this part/have it repaired or even had a similar problem. I can't find a parts catalogue anywhere on the web.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Dave

Spare parts for the impulse motor are not available, the only way to rectify is either a new motor circa £600 or maybe a used one (very rarely) on the online auctions.
What happened to your motor is a common fault and fails on almost all of the motors if used as intended and sometimes even at very low mileage.

I would give 50 cycles a ring because even though you are out of warranty they may help you out because the failure you describe is known by the manufacturer.

Wonder if China makes a replacement part, As the Germany's can not, is this not called protectionism or day light robbery?
