Replacement for stolen Heinzman

I had a bike stolen some 7 months ago. I am expecting the insurance cheque for £1,450 or thereby shortly. I still have the battery and charger for the Heinzeman.

I was planning to switch to leg power only but the insurance company appear to want me to buy a replacement electric bike.

I'd welcome suggestions. 13 mile e/w commute with some minor hills, but nothing serious. Speed and reliability both important.

If I buy something other than Heinzeman again, I will probably offer my battery & charger foc to another owner - though hopefully not the thief!

Bad luck about the stolen Heinzmann.

If you want to try something different for that sort of price, look at the E-Motion range of Panasonic powered bikes.

If you want something similar (not quite as powerful or free-running, but good quality), then an eZee might suit you.

Alternatively, the Wisper range is a good choice because of its excellent customer support.

You could try all three at Onbike in Kidderminster or Presteigne. The tourdepresteigne.co.uk on the 8th May would give you the chance of trying a big range of bikes.

I have sent you a pm, by the way.

Good luck!

Hi pwylie,

Firstly, I am sorry to hear about your Heinzmann.
When it comes to a replacement, I would suggest that you try as many bikes as you can before making a decison.

I think you might be impresed by the performance of an eZee, they are one of the most powerful bikes on the market and would cope well with your daily commute.
