Their government replied very quickly and clearly to my query. Their law is still as it was - 200 watts, 40 kg, 15 mph, 14 year age limit, no restriction on throttles.

Thanks Hoppy, I strongly suspected that would be the case. As usual they would have to be prompted to look at the latest UK amendment, but you might consider that a mixed blessing, since it bars throttles (only pedelec permitted) if the e-bike hasn't gone through 2 and 3 Wheel Motor Vehicle Type Approval. That could get very complicated in Guernsey.
