It's a nice Sunday afternoon to continue the project outside (for safety).
I have permission off the battery to do this from the "Cell Donor Card" I found inside the battery.

So lets crack into those cells.

1 section done, 2 to go.
This is the cells inside but cannot find any info on the spec. Any ideas?

Have discharged a cell to 3v at 1a then charged to 4.2v at 1a to find remaining capacity and it came in at 1458mah.
Is discharge/charge rate of 1a ok on old cells?

Spotted this whilst taking apart and I'm sure it was already loose before I pulled the tab up for the pic. Maybe this brought down the capacity of the whole battery and it would actually have been ok without this.IMG_20170122_141720.jpg

Yes that shouldn't lift up like that.

1.5Ah from one cell means 6Ah from the whole battery, which means it's knackered.

It's taken about 3 weeks to test all 40 cells. Here are the 'mah' results. The volt's across the top are what the cells settled to after about a week.

So plenty of power there for some powerbanks.
