This sounds interesting, been mentioned a few times over the years with nothing much to show, but this is an actual physical product.

A battery that can be charged to 90% of capacity in around 5 mins and survive 6000 charge cycles.

However based on the example pack at 8Ah, 12v, 1kg - a 16Ah 36v battery is going to be pretty big and a bit heavier than the current Wisper 14Ah battery...

Keeps cropping up, but it was designed for rapid charge car use and is completely unsuited to e-bikes. High weight, large bulk and low capacity just for the sake of fast charging are the opposite of what we need. Those using it like Schwinn are just going for the gimmick.

Toshiba have been flogging the fast charge concept to death for years. Hopefully one day they'll wake up, come to their senses and realise like everyone else that fast charging for cars can never happen. The infrastructure is impossible to achieve.

I liked that idea that came out a few years ago. Drive in to garage. Unclip dead battery pack. Clip in fresh battery pack. Cough up the readies. Drive off. Garage charges the battery pack ready for next customer.
