Scooter KQI2 electric fault

I have an electric scooter KQI2 come in the workshop electric problem, the charger very old seems to plug in either way, i have ordered a new charger but don’t want to plug in wrong polarity major strip down to get access to the charger connection. no end of screws on the running board multimeter not getting a reading power from battery via charger socket

any help please

Look inside the battery to see which wires are connected to the charge socket. If there's no voltage there, the charge fuse might have blown, so you have to open it anyway. Even if it's not the charge fuse, you'll have to open the battery to test the cells and BMS if there's no voltage on the charge socket. If you connected the charger the wrong way round, you've probably blown the fuse.
