Hi everyone

spec

factory moded with 200watt eco mode / 600 Watt
Deluxe 8 speed Derauiller
SRAM X9 Derauiller
11-34 cassette with 44t front ring
SRAM PC971 chain
SRAM X7 grip shifter
WTB Laserdisc trail 27mm
Fox Float R Shock
Fox Vanilla R
Aluminum Monocoque frame
Hydraulic Disk:Avid BB7
internal 36 Volt 10ah NiMH
External 36 volt 22ah Li-ion
custom painted in Baby blue
UltraBright Twin 10w Halogen
Weight 58 lbs

I have owned the bike for about 8 weeks now and I have been out about 12 times mostlyon the road.
My latest ride was 25 miles from Sale to Strangways and around town and back to Sale and I did this mostly on full throttle and peddling It took around a hour and 13mins
average speed was 20mph with max speed around 32 mph and I was running on the external battery
which is a 36v 22 ah Li-ion as I was testing it after a full charge without the Bms which I have removed as it's faulty
and the internal is a Nimh 10ah which I never needed to use.
The bike handles superb with the fox suspension and the motor being centre and low gravity must help a lot and the riding postion is comfy.
Front twin halogen headlight is standard and is a very bright beam unlike leds.
The big question is the price and are they worth $12,000 for the 850R? and are they the best electric bike ever?
I would have to say the parts used are top end and the build quailty is very good and do I still think they are overpriced? YES!
I have not managed to ride any other electric bikes so I cant judge this against anything out there as this is my first ebike and it came up for sale as barely used and it was like new and was a big saving on a new one so I took the plunge and bought it and do I regret it NO!
I hear people say its a moped not a bike and I would like to say it rides like a MTB and at 32mph you are peddling like a lunatic and its far from being a moped with big fat tyres and a noisey exhaust.

The origins of the moped tag for the Optibike were in the original very high powered US version, powerful enough
to never need pedalling.

The lower powered or restricted versions added since are a different thing of course.

The most important thing is that you like it!

I think the 600T model is just right for power as I can cruise at 25 mph and because of the superb handling it feels safe.
There 850R is the fastest production model at 35+ mph with heavy peddling
and I recon thats to fast and expensive for most people who want a peddle assited bike to go to work on.:)
