Shifters and brake levers?

Does any modern bike that has a twist gear selector, also have separate brake levers?

All the quick fire type shifters appear to have integrated brake levers, which are no good for installing brake cut-offs.
BTW, no suggestions to bodge a reed switch cut-off solution please. I want to use the kit supplied cut-offs with no mods :)

No. Hardly any are integrated. I don't know how you've been searching. If your search string is "quick fire", that might be why. Try searching for "shimano shifters"

You can use any shifter you like, but, ideally, it should have the correct number of speeds to match your derailleur and gears. They all perform the same function, though different ways.

Yet again, the value of this forum shines through again. Thanks d8veh.

I really thought that all the modern gear lever style shifters were integrated with the brake levers. The only touchy feely experience I get is at the local Halfords, and the instore selection of bikes isn't particularly big.

This does broaden my horizon on what bike I can buy. Trying to make my next build extremely neat and tidy, unlike the monster I created before lol

Try googling shimano revoshifter or shimano index shifter. They make them both in 7spd.
