I read that Raleigh is for sale and will probably be bought by Dutch company Accell.

I understand that Raleigh electric bikes are supplied by Derby Cycles, who also own Kalkoff?

So for 2012, have Derby stopped supplying Raleigh? When you look at Raleigh web site only one model is shown as for sale still and others as not available?

Reading the test of the Raleigh Velo-Cite it came across as a very nice bike with good features at it's price point.

Raleigh e bikes are doing rides throughout the country promoting their bikes at the moment. There is a thread about it on here, Derby are the parent company and Raleigh among others part of the group they are all German now.
