Hi, I have a Smarta LX8 with throttle, which I've owned since Jan 13 from new. I had the original battery swapped out about last November as it was cutting out going uphill. I was advised to go for a 36V 14AH recell pack as an upgrade which at first seem to sort things out. But over the last couple of months it seems to be losing it's pull, so either I'm getting unfitter or it just doesn't have as much poke as it used to. I don't think I've lost any range, but this is difficult to judge as I rarely run it down, the battery seems to be taking charge as normal, it just seems slower, with way less grunt. Is this something that can happen, is there something I can do to improve it? Thanks for your thoughts. G.

As far as I can figure, it can only happen if the battery is faulty. If the battery were faulty, you'd see the lights on the control panel going down more than normal under power.
