Hi, all,
Looks like I'm returning to the wonderful world of pedelecs after a 6 year lay-off. I bought a Giant Twist comfort back in 2007 when I was cycle-commuting to work, about 10 miles each way, but when I retired in 2009 I got rid of it because I was only doing shorter distances. Now my knees have got to the stage where Coventry's just too hilly and I'm planning to upgrade my street bike (a Raleigh Pioneer with a 7-speed hub gear) with a GSM 250 watt mid-drive kit just as soon as Woosh get them in (they said it'll only be a couple of days now ...)

So - if anyone's got any comments - good or bad - about the GSM kit, I'd be pleased to hear them, otherwise thanks for reading, and I'll post details of my progress.

(By the way, I used to be "mikeymike" on this forum, but I've forgotten my password, and they system doesn't seem to want to send me a reset email)

Mike

it all seems straightforward, the only thing that comes to mind is that you are going to lose the full size chain guard. Everything else, motor, battery, sensored brake levers are OK. The thumb throttle will have to be on the left and there seems to be plenty of room for the 800S LCD in the middle of the handlebars.
