So so disapointted dave for not seeing you today.

Hiya,

Left home at 1pm today to catch the train to Hampton Wick from London Waterloo train station. The purpose of my travel was to see Dave (Kudos),and also to meet the new owner of the ebike shop.

Did I actually get there ? The answer to that is a big NO! When I had gotten onto the train it was semi ok, when it had reached the next stop Vauxhall , about five hundred people with cycles were waiting to board the train plus, sorry, including non-cyclist. I then had thought to myself I was not in the mood for the hassle therefore before the doors opened I quickly grabbed my bike and came off (The bike sections had already been taken), there were also another seven stops to go.

Sorry,Dave for giving up that easily but it would have been very difficult for me constantly shifting my bike back and forth for people to step on and off the train.

I hope it went ok.

Hi my Lynda, I took the next train back to London Waterloo came off obviously and rode around the London eye then ended up by the festival Neighbourhood with lots of bars, restaurants and tons of people having fun, dancing and screaming with joy.
And no, Lynda I drank a Lucozade and I am buzzing now.

It was very difficult to get around London whilst the cycling event took place.....I stayed near Hampton Court overnight then had to walk to Hampton Wick this morning,my car was imprisoned until the end of the afternoon...even trying to get away was a bit like the maze at Hampton Court with all the road closures. Some of the guys who made it had to leave their cars at New Malden then catch the train to Hampton wick.
The festival was great fun,even Henry 8th and Anne Boleyn had a ride on an ebike.
Will try to get some photos and a better report tomorrow.
I am sure it will be an annual event....ironically the best way to get around was by bike!!!!
