Been looking at the Kalkhoff Pro Connect Disc Electric Bike but as i need to rest my knees sometimes when cycling i need a/ e bike that will still run on it,s own power when i stop pedaling.

So is it possible to buy a good twist and go with a 18 amp battery and the quality of the Kalkhoff Pro Connect Disc Electric Bike so hope some of the people on the forum can help .

Hi David, my brother had the same requirement. He has a Ultra Motor Fast4ward which has a throttle option. It serves him very well. I don't know if Kalkhoff have a model with a throttle option but there are lots of members who have Kalkhoffs so I'm sure someone will post some more helpful advice.

Hi, I'm not sure how many crank drive ebikes come with a throttle, but a lot of hub motor'd bikes do, which would enable you to keep moving whilst resting the knees. I would suggest looking at the Wisper range, which are very well built, have long range batteries and great customer back up

Good luck with your search

Have a look at the Tonaro's......they are crank drives WITH a throttle.....the only ones that do.

Good bikes and excellent after sales.

Quite a few happy owners on this forum
