Hiya

Anyone know if the these Sony cells will provide a superior ebiking experience compared to the Panasonic cells in my 8fun kit ?

I understand from Jeremy (no linger on forum I believe ) that the panasonics have very high internal resistance which is why the voltage sag is so noticeable

Cheers

I think that's not the full designation. You need the characters that come after that to positively identify which ones they are and their capacity. If they're US18650VT, they should be OK as they can give 30 amps max.

There's a lot of fake Chinese ones about, so you have to be careful what you get.

The GRs are rated at 4.8 amps maximum discharge, so you'll need at least 4 in parallel, which means 40 cells. I Think your battery already has 40 cells -probably similar to these, so, if you're looking for higher discharge, I think you might be better with higher discharge ones.

This website gives some idea of max discharge per cell, but be careful about the capacity too, some of the higher discharge ones have lower capacity. I know you can get a 6aH 30amp bottle battery.
