I have purchased 10 sets of 6 way connectors (ML6KIT) suitable for the hall sensor cables and will post the spare ones in the classified section when I am in receipt of them.
PM me if it is of any interest.
The motor cable crimp bullet connectors are available in Halfords.

The ones you refer to seem to be reasonably priced, but the Powerpoles and other high current connectors seem a bit pricey.
I've been looking for connectors to extend the balance cables of my BMS, 17 pins or more are hard to find. I've seen similar multiway connectors to these at many suppliers up to 15 pin, not just 9 pin. I've been considering using a couple of sets of connectors to do the job but the problem is that the BMS can get damaged if not connected in the right order.

Aseb ave you considered 25way "D" type connectors with solder bucket terminals?
They are polarized, can have locking screws and you can get rear cover shells for cable strain relief.

That's one of 3 kinds I'm considering at the moment, thanks.
There's also a 20 pin connector along the lines of a centronics plug, Scart plugs/sockets (inexpensive but not lockable. For the D type and scart I can get also get wired cables for less than the plug/socket costs and save cable cost, then cut the cable to the required lengths. Saves a bit soldering work too :)

Also a possibility are IDC connectors with ribbon cable, like the old PATA disk drive connectors, keyed as well...and would only need to solder one end.

I've even got some of parallel ATA cables. The problem is they are also not lockable in position, and i'm not keen on using ribbon cable- it will run outside of the casings for a little distance so the double insulation cable will be better. It'll be March/April before I'll be changing the battery/controller so I've got a bit of time to find the best setup. At the moment I think I'll probably go with the more expensive amphenol type connectors.

I would make sure you have suitable tooling before going down the amphenol route as they mainly supply the military market with tooling prices to match.
