Speed box 2020 Issues

Morning all! I’ve got a Cube bike from 2019. Recently I bought a speed box unit from eBay, it’s the latest version 3. 2020. After installing (excitedly) I went for a spin only to be disappointed! The speed wasn’t reading, sits at 0 Mph, gave me error code, lights don’t work, and it doesn’t seem to give any extra power? Is the unit faulty?

Looks like you've plugged the speed sensor into the light socket...

Ah thanks for reply. I’ve managed to get the lights to work. But still no speed showing, stuck at zero, and getting 503 errors...speed sensor? Bike was perfect before installing speed box? Has the box damaged the sensor? I’ve reverted back to normal, without the box. But still no speed reading...?

sounds like you have buggerd something up but does the bike not cut out with a 503 error?

The bike is fine, motor still kicks in. Code comes up after a few pedals. Is it possible to get the wires the wrong way round?

with a 503 error it should not work and cut out so something is wrong id take it to a dealer and get it looked at as it is not right.

just leave the dongle part out of it

Thanks for reply. I’m wandering if I’ve plugged the speed sensor incorrectly? It’s not read since I installed the speed box dongle?
does anybody know, or perhaps have a diagram for the plugs in the Bosch active line unit?
