Speedbox / Dongles damage motors?

I've been toying with the idea of getting a speedbox for my Active line motor but it seems like there are mixed reviews out of adding one. I'd love to have an extra 10mph but not at the risk of damaging my motor!

Seems like quite a few of you are running them in here, had many problems? Should I keep well away from them?

Love to hear from people who own them!

dongles dont do anything power wise to the motors as all it does is remove the 15mph speed limit but this will also mean less range overall if using turbo mode all the time and will be about half the range you will get with out one fitted.

tho you can use lower power settings to get a bit more range back and still go over the 15mph limit.

had mine since 2014 and not had any problems tho i now have 2 batts but the original batt is still going but well down on range now but it is 5 years old.
