the fork is tapered, not easy to find a front hub motor for it.
As soundwave said, it would be better to fit an 8-Fun CD kit

i know hybrid bikes has tapered fork but I measured just now and have 100mm dropouts, and the website I am planning to buy states 100 mm clearance is needed, so cannot see why cant fit,I seen a video of someone fitting a front hub on a dillinger bike on you tube and it was compatible.

need help and clarification on these pls, can a Spez Sirrus Hybrid Bike fit
a 250w geared hub..thx

I see no reason why it won't fit to your bike with a standard 100mm width.

Just be sure to fit the 'c' washers and torque arm. The kit includes them, scroll quarter way down page to see:

It depends on how fast you want to ride.
If you only want light assist then it's OK, you can fit the 120mm 8-Fun SWXU motor for example but not the larger motors such as the 128mm 8-Fun SWX02 because the casing will foul against the insides of the fork.
Small motors of course give less power. For faster speed, you would need to replace the fork to accept larger motor, hence my advice to go for a crank drive kit. Watch the video, it's much easier to fit than a hub kit.

cant fit anything more than 250W as staying legal as mostly will be using the Spez on roads to increase AVS,imagine if I can maintain at least 200W on a 1 hr ride, will probably give me 18-20 mph, pedal assisted

SpezElec has mentioned that he's on a budget. A BBS01 will almost double the price :(
How many members ride an e-bike with 200W power?
I'll give the OP two weeks before he'll want to go faster with his Sirrus.

oh man, do not tempt to get a bigger motor yet, this is my first build,I can maintain,15-16 mph on flats and 13 mpd AVS on hilly route,a 250 watts motor
producing 150 watts extra power considering the weight penalty is a lot me
to play with,,I think:rolleyes:
