I'm trying to fit my battery bottle to the Spirit. One of the screw heads is threaded. Any suggestions? Hack saw and make a cut so I can unscrew it? (I did try this but these screws seem to be made of kryptonite! .. maybe I need a better hack saw or not give up so easily?

Can you get some Mole grips on it and gentley wiggle it until it will unscrew.

If you have a electrical soldering iron (big ish 50w or above) you could apply this to the screw until it is very hot then cool it down with penetrating oil, this might also help.

Good luck.

Persisted with hacksaw method. Worked a treat. Photos as follows:

You have the same bike as me - wow! I fitted a front ezee motor to mine and apart from wheel spin when moving off (the bike is a bit light on the front) it works fine unless it's wet or slippery when care is needed. What/where did you fit your kit? Also where did you get the bottle battery and do they do them in 48v?
Even after 2 years of on and off riding the Spirit I still find it a bit difficult to ride - is it just me?

Excellent! Where did you get yours? Interesting to hear about your spinning front wheel! .. My electric conversion is work in progress! .. Just fitted the battery to do some handling testing ... The battery is part of my Cytronex set up ... which has a Tongxin from hub. Toying with the idea of building it into the rear wheel of the Spirit ... but .. will probably ask Cytronex to build one for me .. I love riding recumbents but they do take some getting used to. My advise? Ride it more! ...
Where are you in the country? ... Perhaps you can PM me?

I think I managed to PM you. I got mine from Kinetics in Glasgow as they had a good discount at the time on a cancelled order. I live in Didcot, Oxfordshire. I'd love to ride it more but I have to share my time between all my toys!
