I know this issue has been sorted out on the newer bikes, but it's not acceptable on a bike of your age and cost. This is the sort of thing that you would expect, and put up with, on a £500 bike sold out of a container by an eBay rat. You've paid a premium for your bike, hold them to account.I've had a gut feeling all along that this might be the case with the early wheels.
I am very disappointed with Derby Cycles for having not replied to my letter in the past 3 months and 50C's lack of response about spare spokes concerns me as well. I have a two and a half year ProConnect which I rely on every day for getting me to and from work and it looks like I will have to pay for the full set of wheels to keep it running.
People should consider this issue and factor it into their buying decision. This is what can happen with this brand / supplier when something serious goes wrong. I had to invest an enormous amount time and effort to resolve the issues I had. There will be a compromise somewhere.
