Discount at SportsHQ again :)
Making the Cyclamatic Power Plus or folder only £400, free delivery!!
Not convinced with their reason for the discount, but hey 20% is still pretty juicy ;)

" Our financial end of year is tomorrow and we need to clear some stock otherwise we'll have to count it - so you can take an extra 20% off everything available to purchase online with this exclusive voucher code.

Enter the code STOCK on the checkout page and your discount will be applied. Valid for all products available to purchase online when paying through our online checkout with credit/debit card (not Paypal or Google Checkout). Does not include delivery charge. Expires tonight at 11.59pm "

Whilst the regular discounts are often a marketing ploy (albeit one legitmately used by other companies) it is indeed their year end tomorrow.. to be fair the admin cost of the stock take might well be more than the profit made from selling the items at full price!

It's only a 17" frame. I had a bigger frame than that when I was 8 years old. Why do companies today make such small bikes for adults?

Because not all adults fit the norm, I recently customized a machine using the same frame for an 'adult' barely 5' 1" in height. I don't think a variety of frame sizes can be expected for that sort of price.

I ride the Power Plus and have an inside leg of 30".
Reckon the seat post can extend another 2". Add a suspension saddle and maybe another 1" on top of that.
Must admit, although it only has a 17" frame, it looks very chunky.

Missed it!

Please post future discount codes. Would definitely have bought one at £400.

If I had known I would have got one for the wife - she mentioned that she might cycle to work (all of 2 miles - all up hill on the way back) so I suggested an electric folder.

£400 would have bought one on impulse... oh well.

Tangent, z0mb13e, why not ask anyway? I've done this at times in the past and got away with it, they can only say no and just might say yes. No-one likes losing sales, and as Fordulike says, the reason for the sale was probably rubbish anyway.
