The 2 litre coca cola bottles are threaded sideways onto my canopy tent poles and are doing the following: keeping my tent poles rigid; I've cut the bottoms off, inverted them and use gaffer tape for hinges for little doors into which I can put all the stuff I used to put in my panniers (I've junked the panniers as they weigh 1.2 kg empty! ..) ... ; The little doors have letters on ... currently I have C Y C L E C H A R ... as I only have 9 bottles. I also use the bottles to house my all important cameras which I am now able to put in all kinds of places. I have a clip which I hope you'll like which I'll be sharing soon. ... I'm going to the recycling plant tomorrow to see if they will supply me with more bottles and see if I can get some support for CycleCharge. (I'll make sure I have all 11 bottles before I venture out) ... will also be handing out flyers etc ... oh , yeah .. and here is one of the bottle ideas:

Although his customers told him off for spending too much time talking to me and not serving them! ...

Caused quite a stir. Lots of interested passes by. Handed out some leaflets and let a few people hold my battery etc ...

One person noted that the front of my bike looked a bit dangerous. I need to get a chainwheel cover as the teeth of my stoke monkey chainwheel do look a bit angry! ...

As I set off there was a crowd of about 5 youngsters all with their phones taking photos and video ...

and Wales are 10 - 3! ...

another person said "whats it for?" which was great because I had to explain that I had an electric bike and that it needed a battery to work and that I needed places to stop at so I can charge it up ....
another person was ott on enthusiasm. I mean this guy was even worse than me! .... he took a flyer and went off saying that he was going to talk to ... someone ... and have a good read ... talk about making someone's day! ...
the butcher said that I should have lights in my coca cola bottles ..which I am thinking about! ...its dark now and what a sight I would be cycling down the high street ... very tempting ... could even rig up some sound polution and hit them with "its in my sweat, its in my blood, its in my tears, its in meeeeee" ...
which I believe to be a classic btw. .. its just that nobody knows it ...

Had an excellent time out about handing out flyers and talking to people.... Hit the Garden Centres, a cafe, pub (where I parked up outside the main entrance and engaged a lovely family of people who I talked to for quite some time while I supped my pint of bitter), a golf club, a physiotherapist and a couple of friends ..

It has often been said that I have a childish sense of humour . @Kitcxhenman , surely the caption for your picture should be "Take a Butchers at this ." If you have access to a recycling centre , look out for broken LED bike lights , torches and LED Christmass lights .Take the leds out , connect them in parallel and put them in your bottles . Run them from 2 AA batteries in series .

Thanks for the tip. I also had a thought to house nurse's pen lights. My wife is a nurse and she goes through them quite quickly so it would be an investment. If I can buy them in bulk I could also sell them. Just pull up outside A&E. If all nurses are like mine then are always loosing them or letting doctors "lend" them ... I notice that you can get pen light torches which are also HD cams! ... I'm always going on about multi cam bike systems .. now that would be something ...

I think I'm getting the point over ..This is part of a conversation I had with Jago on his way into a golf club which I was parked opposite talking to some friends. He crossed the road to engage me ..
"When I go somewhere I am limited by the range that I can get with this battery and I need somewhere to charge it up so ... CycleCharge.org.uk .. (at which point I hand leaflet out) ..take that in .. your going in the golf club? Can you give that to the guy in there? ..Basically we want people to register as a charge point which basically means you use your 13 amp plug to allow people like me to charge my battery so I can get to the next place ..It doesn't cost anything .. it costs nothing ..
