Two recent rhreads have prompted me to write this post. The 1st was about a lady with a puncture and no-one stopped to help her. This morning I was out for my early morning ride when my speedometer started acting up. It was reading erratic, going from 4mph to 24mph with me not increasing or decreasing speed. I thought it may be the magnet on the wheel so I stopped to look at it. I was stopped on a small back road with not a soul in sight and was checking my magnet when I heard a bike come along and the man on it slowed and asked if I was alright. It seems that not everyone will pass by a fellow cyclist.

The 2nd post which came to mind was the one about an Ebike versus a non powered bike. According to the GPS my average speed was 14.5 mph. The road had uphills and downhills. On the steeper uphill parts though I reckon I was gaining on him, on the less steep parts, the flats and the downhill bits he was gone. Overall though he left me easily.

So today I learned 2 things: People will stop to help and my ebike with me on, can't keep up with a 'proper' cyclist on a road bike. ;)
