Sunstar keep trying, but versions SO1, SO2 and SO3 were all too weak to have much appeal.

I hope they've at last got it right, but it looks just like the old motor setup in a more stylish casing.

Looks nice. Maximum torque listed as 55Nm (compared with Bosch Active 48Nm, Bosch Performance 60Nm, Bafang BBS01/250W 80Nm). It also says it has a torque sensor which would be good.

Yes, all three previous versions have been torque sensored pedelecs, but I'm not confident about the torque claim since they've made similar claims of increased power before and failed to deliver. They've run well in a quite sophisticated manner, but have lacked any guts.

They've stepped up the voltage to 36v, the same as the others. The motor is the same size as the others. You can therefore expect similar performance to the others.
They've always been a bit expensive for what they are. Ultimately, it'll come down to the price whether it's a viable option. There's lots of alternatives now.
