Hello guys! :)

I have been searching through this forum for information, but its became more and more complicated to me..:)

I have bought an used BF SWXB motor 36V DC, 250Watts

this motor has 3 thick and 5 thin wires (yellow-green-blue and yellow-green-blue +red, black)

can you tell me or link me full datasheet for this motor? i have been searching through google, got some drawings from the motor parameter (height, weight, widht etc)
But i would like to know something about the electric part.

from this forum i know that the 5 thin wires are the hal sensors, and somewhere you wrote that the motor can be running without sensors.
good :)
2of the 5thin wires is (red and black) the hall sensor power supply.

the 3 thick cable must be the motor coil with tons of amper flows through :)
so is this motor a 3 phase motor (3x 120° coils) and i need a controller to start playing with it?
is this motor BLDC type or ECDC?
i found this 2 type of three phase DC motor at wikipedia

so my questions:
- can it be run without sensors connected?
- what are the 3 thick wire? (are they the 3x 120°coil ?)
- IF this is a 3phase 36V DC motor, is this motor BLDC type or ECDC? or am i mixing stuff again?...:D
- can you show me W/Nm graph?
- do i need a controller which makes my 2pole 36V DC, to square or sinus 3 pole 36V AC?

Yes with a sensorless controller.

- what are the 3 thick wire?

They are the current supplies to the coils.

- IF this is a 3phase 36V DC motor, is this motor BLDC

It is a BLDC motor.

- can you show me W/Nm graph?

I don't have a graph link, others may have though.

- do i need a controller which makes my 2pole 36V DC, to square or sinus 3 pole 36V AC?

Yes, most are square wave but there are some pure sine wave controllers which give nicer running.

There's a lot of different versions of that motor, so you can't get a data sheet unless you know which one you have.

Get a proper BLDC ebike controller for it. You should get one for sensored motors. A sine-wave one is better than a square wave one.
