Hi I’ve recently acquired a trek t900 tandem and I am converting it into an ebike with Tranz X parts from an EBCO UCL 30. I have the front wheel hub motor tranz x M01 so the older version 36 volt. I’m missing the axle fixing nuts on opposite side of power cable. Also do you think I need torque washers as well. I just don’t know what size nut to get I’m assuming i can get them from a local bike shop. the front forks on the tandem are steel thx in advance neil

I'm almost certain you need torque washers, and if that is a powerful motor torque arms as well.

Enjoy when it's all done; electric tandem is the way to go!

There's a huge variation between different nominally 250w motors. Our tandem has a relatively low powered XF07; a bit underpowered really (as Woosh warned us) but there wasn't much choice in 700c wheels when we bought it. It does a great job even at 2/5 setting, but leaves us with plenty to do on the steep bits (usually with 3/5 setting). Woosh advises the XF07 does not need torque arms; but I understand anything with significantly greater torque would.

I've no doubt someone can find a link on ebay or know some other UK site.
