Hi Guys

Had quite a shocking day today.
Note: I've started a new thread as I don't like the "what's wrong with.. " heading

Hi Scott and everyone at 50 cycles,

So sorry to hear about your fire. Thank you very much for keeping me informed and up to date about the Agattu delivery despite your near-disaster. Good to see you using the forum again too.

Best wishes,
Tom

Nice thought Tom, I was getting a bit fed up with seeing that old heading.

smart idea musicbooks

I am also very sorry to hear about 50cycles fire - but at least no-one was hurt and it wasn't the distaster it could have been. I am delighted to see 50cycles posting in the forum still and thought it was a very good idea of musicbooks to get away from the poorly titled last thread that did no-one any favours.

Without 50 Cycles I wouldn't have my Torq which gives me so much pleasure.

I think this forum would be a poorer place without the people on the front line (importers etc.) making regular contributions.

Charlie.

I applaud any manufacturer who contributes to a forum like this. I've been involved in light aviation for many years and the vast majority of manufacturers/importers in that area don't dare show their head above the parapet in public forums.

It's easy to be critical of small suppliers in specialist areas, like electric bikes or small aircraft, but often criticism is borne from a lack of tolerance for the inevitable imperfections that will be present in such low volume products.

As someone who has spent a great deal of time developing an effective electric bike for my own use, and who has made some serious (and expensive) mistakes along the way, I can fully understand the problems.

Perhaps if we phrase any critical comment in a polite and constructive way we can encourage manufacturers and importers to contribute. I'm sure that the forum will be a richer place if we have their honest views.

Subtle changes on 50Cycles website today on Agattu delivery times. All bar the smallest diamond are now April- perhaps a new reality dawns that it's better to under-promise and over-deliver than the opposite?

Smallest diamond is March and no detail as to first week. Also no hint on ProConnect as to delay or prompt delivery. I've emailed them but no response yet- maybe still recovering from fire.

PS- a general welcome for the abandonment of the "what's wrong with" tag for this thread.
