In the past 12 months, Sterling has fallen 8% against the Euro, 17% against the Japanese Yen and 32% against the Chinese Yuan/Renmimbi. This covers the origins of most of the parts that make up a modern pedelec.

I think I can feel some Sterling price rises coming on.....

Yes prices are going to rise considerably but may eventually be offset by an increase in demand hence lowering the cost of production. I mean with car sales down 25% as the credit crunch bites and G.M. and Ford toppling the sales of alternative personal transport systems must be rising. Soon you won't be able to move for bikes and rickshaws - does that remind you of anywhere?
I envisage a business opportunity arising if ponies and traps come back into fashion as I shall apply for the horse dung clearance concession from the Highways Agency!

Unfortunately for some, someones loss is always someone elses gain. This should make e-bikes less expensive for us U.S. buyers for once.

The surge of the Euro has been brutal for us here, at least it is getting a bit better now.

Sorry
