1000W Hub Motor+48V 10AH Lithium Ion Electric Bike kit on eBay (end time 18-Jun-10 04:58:34 BST)

Thats the kit im after, I was interested in the Alien kits but after they told me the lithium battery kits are double their lead acid kits it put me straight off. I've heard good things about luckybbd's kits on this forum so looks like i will be purchasing one.

I was just about to hit the Buy it Now button till i thought what bike will i put this on? Im looking to spend anything £250 and less for a bike (preferable new on eBay) but makes and models will be good to know if people know them.

I would prefer to have the rear gearing motor and not the front but all suggestions will be accounted for, looks on the bike are important as i'll be cycling infront of people a lot of the time.

These of the bikes i've looked at so far:

Diamondback HT Peak 26" Wheel New Free P+P on eBay (end time 02-Jul-10 15:24:41 BST)

and

Falcon Colorado 20" Frame 26" Wheels Front Suspension on eBay (end time 09-Jun-10 17:36:55 BST)

Thank you in advance :) Sam

First off 1000w is 750w over the EU law for a cycle
Second a 48v 10a lifepo4 battery on this motor if pushed at full speed for any length of time will dramatically shorten the life of the battery maybe 3 to 4 hundred cycles, top speed expect around 30mph for 10 to 12 miles power only before cutoff, if you what to peddle at 25mph and higher you will need a 53 tooth chain wheel and an 11 or 12 tooth rear then the range will be more like 15 to 20 miles before cutoff.

my year old ping 48v 12a is being stressed by my motor controller.
a powerful motor like this should defiantly be on the rear and keep the bike as light as possible if you what to be able to use it without power.
my bike is lots of fun and always enjoyable
