Just a year to the date since my last post on the forum, so time for another.
I just found this LINK on the GoldenMotor site. It may be of interest, but the high power means they are illegal for UK road use. And they are gearless hub motors which may not be good.

Looks like it performs well but the website is long on soundbites and short on facts. It may be fasionable in the US but I can't see a dinner plate size motor designed to look like a turbine intake being all that popular in the UK. :eek:

I have a gearless hub motor on my cheap (free) chinese crap-bike. It is OK once it's spinning up to speed and can maintain high speeds reasonably well, but it is utterly gutless at low RPM. - If I was buying a motor now, I'd get something with planetary gears... or a Tongxin maybe.

As Fecn says, and there's been plenty of trouble with Goldenmotors products and their support isn't what it should be. There's far better out there.
