Hello there,

I was cycling today with all the snow everywhere and suddently my bike stopped working.

All the light are on, the wattmeter can still measure the voltage so it's not a battery problem.

When I switch off the battery, then switch on again, the throttle works only for 1/10th of second then stop. After that the throttle and pedelec don't work anymore.
If I cut off the power et start again, I have again this same pattern with the throttle that works for 1/10th of second then stop.

I think it's maybe the water that's inside the motor or controller.. not sure though.

Any idea what the problem could be?

It's definitely water somewhere where it shouldn't ought to. I'd check the brake switches, throttle and pedal sensor. Not likely to be the controller which is fairly well protected unless you know it took a direct hit from a big splash,

It'll be a throttle or pedelec function shorting out.
I sometimes got it in heavy rain, mostly due to my powerpole connections being not what they should be.
Solved by re doing connections.

You'll have to just check the connections for water. Sometimes if you just leave the bike to dry out it will fix it. You can always put a bit of light machine grease on the connectors to stop the water getting to them. It's not very clean but will do the job.

Thanks guys!!

I left my bike overnight to dry, and now it's working again.

Was a bit afraid!! lol Hopefully it was just water.

I'll probably have to seal my connectors et controller. My case is broken, water can go inside lol
