Grr!

I have just come back from a 90-mile round trip (in the car!) to look at a Powacycle Lynx being sold on eBay (looking for an e-bike for my wife, who is still not convinced that she wants to join our wonderful world).

When I got there, the bike's battery was completely flat, so no test possible!

What kind of wally, when he knows that someone is coming some distance to view an item for sale, does not check to see if it is working?

Still, at least he has offered to repay my petrol costs, though not the lost 2½ hours of my life...

That has happened to me several times, flat battery, flat tyres and no pump, can't remember where the charger is and generaly in a filthy scruffy state despite claims of being like new:rolleyes:

On those occasions, I either make a silly cash offer or walk away and put it down to experience:(

That was a sickener Bode, but I'm not too surprised that it happens as John confirms. Of course it's a good way of hiding a bike having faults in the hope that someone buys it anyway, and sadly many do that as we see from some despairing posts in this forum.
