on my last MTB, I used to have Schwalbe Marathon 1.5" tyres.
The powacycle Salisbury actually has a '1.75"/1.95" - 559' marker on the rims - I have never seen this before on MTB wheel rims...
currently it has Chinese Kenda 1.7" tyres which aren't that bad or slow (at least the tread pattern is sensible for mostly on-road riding) but when its time to replace them, is it safe to put thinner tyres on ?
Are the rims (particularly the back wheel with the hub) different dimensions to "normal" ones?
