Its tiny, don't worry about it.
...or maybe not! Given that the wire most Chinese kits ship with is quite a thin gauge (I guess about AWG16) there could be a notable power loss....IE: if AWG 16 then resistance per foot is 0.004 Ohms...as current flows both ways double it to 0.008 Ohms. With a standard 15amp controller phase current multiplier is about 2.5x battery current so phase current is going to be 37amps or thereabouts.

37amps gives about a .3volts drop over 1 foot of cable so power loss per foot is approx. 11W !

But thats assuming a 100% duty cycle as the motors is driven by a PWM signal the actual loss will be less IE: 30% PWM = a 3.3W loss

Interesting.

But its not enough to burn the paint off the frame.
Its too early in the morning for this and I am on holiday.
Battery should be charged in an hour I am off to find some hills

I would be inclined to add a couple of cable ties to secure the motor supply wires to the fork . If you get too close to a bush or hedge , it could snag those wires and pull them out the motor . Otherwise , a first class job .
