I was thinking I may remove my throttle . Why. Because I can throttle only to top speed either 15.5 mph. Or 25. Mph
throttle only

so now thinking would peddle assist still work upto 15.5 mph in the uk.

so what if I reset the speed to higher would I be able to go faster peddling upto 24 mph or still only 15.5 mph.

or as a cheat fit a open only reed switch and magnet somewhere.

I'm not sure what you're saying, but whatever it is, the bike's power must stop at 15.5 mph.

Actually, according to EN 15194, you're allowed a +10% measurement error, so the actual maximum allowed is 27.5 km/hr or 17.08771 mph, but, of course, if you claim that 10٪ extra and your measurement is out by a small amount, you're out.

Peddling the bike does 15.5. But so does the throttle.
so I am going to disconnect the throttle

hence the throttle will not work but peddling at 15.5 is ok
seems this is legal as peddle assist and no throttle.

as I can peddle 15.5 mph. But if I reset the speed by unlocking when I peddle again will this be reflected in speed or does the peddling speed stay the same at 15.5 mph.

I have a Fido M1 Pro. Yep taking my chances I know but anyone shunted on of these and what results did or do you get out of it .
Is your motor marked "500W"? Nowhere on this web page is rated motor wattage mentioned, it was clearly "500W" in 2019.

I was interested in buying Fido M1 Pro in 2019, but a quick Google revealed it had an illegal 500W motor, so I converted my Dahon folding bike using a 250W BBS01B mid-drive kit instead, and eventually (reluctantly) removed the throttle.

It was 500W but now it’s a 250W. that’s what the sticker says there are no details inside the motor but lightly marked of the wheel motor casing removable plate.
easy fix and it’s all Matt black spray paint .

its the throttle I think the problems going to be.

peddled up speed is 15.5 mph no more.

so without a throttle and when it’s removed it should be road legal and , adheres to the EAPC regulations. I hope unless someone can Say more .

A 500w motor can't be made legal so your bike can never confrom to be an EAPC under UK law.
A 250w labelling may pull the wool over someone's eyes if they closely look at it and may satisfy them , that is all one can hope for.

Regarding the speed restriction, if one releases the restriction via the display and the motor is wound for higher rpm then one will be able to pedal with power to a faster speed.

Some of us had the H2Engineering Oxydrive kits some ten years years ago and they were pretty fast kits, a tad over 24.3 mph on PAS with 3 power modes and 6 PAS levels in each mode. Batteries didn't fair to well though in max power mode and one wa slucky to get 18 months before degredation set in.
The hubs were ultra reliable Bafang CST's wound for approx. 270 -290 rpm.

I still have my Bafang CST.

That'snotwhat he means. The first version of the bike has a 500w motor. His version has a 250w one, so it's completely legal when he disconnects the throttle.

Fiido Ireland has the more expensive "New Upgraded Version/Model" Fiido M1 Pro, which is 500W, as it was in 2019:

Same weight as the OP's:
