Anyone know how to detach the motor cable for the rear wheel ?

There looks like some sort of connection near the motor but not sure how it disconnects

if the connectors are round and with an arrow embossed on each side, you simply pull them apart. To reconnect, line up the arrows and push them back.

Thanks for the reply but dont think they look like that - I`ll try and take a photo if I cant find a Pedelec member that knows

I got a puncture just after I got the Typhoon. I'm sure I just pulled them apart but can't remember. I'll gave a look later.

I've never just been able to just pull those connectors apart. I always have to bend them from side to side into a banana shape while pulling. After a few bends, they give.

Just a very random point point, but, this is a speed sensor bike. Where actually is the speed sensor ?? Reason I ask is, for road use I find the gearing on the low side. At some point would like to change the gearing (not sure how though)
