Hi there,
I have been tinkering around with a few different scratch built e-vehicles (bicycles, scooters etc).
Until now they have only been prototypes and have been more than happy to use the somewhat questionable over-rated Chinese controllers and motors.
I am now looking to build my final revision for road use!

So I want to use a more reliable and application specific controllers, that would also have post sale support/warranty etc.
Ideally with a UK/EU sales outlet.

Which is where i am struggling!
All i can find on the old Google box is more of the cheaper multi use 'Clone' type controllers and 90% still seems to be coming direct from China (not looking forward to the Import charges on the Hub motors and 1000W size controllers)
The ones i have come across locally (so to speak) also seem to be the same Clone controllers being re-sold with a huge markup and still being shipped direct from China.

Would someone be kind enough to recommend any sites, where i should be looking?
Maybe point me to a relevant thread?
Or perhaps recommend a good quality kit (With after sales) to look out for that could meet my requirements:
Hub to fit a 20" wheel,
No PAS,
Possibly capable of running twin/dual hub motors.

I'm already aware of the laws and know this will need to be fully registered.
I have scratch built Motorcycle frames and complete bikes in the past and already have knowledge of the hoops that need to be jumped through having frames certified and registering non-factory made vehicles.

All parts you talk of will be Chinese in origin.
UK outlets will not generally cater for these high output no legal parts/builds.

There is one though

Hi Nealh,
Thanks for the link.

Yea, sorry i don't think there are any electrical components that don't come from China these days.
I should have probably said "questionable manufactures that over specify the controllers capacity in order to boost sales" opposed to questionable controllers!

I have a small collection of various size and non-brand, brand (kt clone) controllers. All of them are a similar design (probably reverse engineered) and all rated way above the componants rated capacities making life expectancy extremely sketchy.
