Hope Martin has better luck in getting batteries from Bosch than my LBS. It took 2 months. The first month used by Bosch to find a cheap enough way to transport my old dead battery back to Germany for inspection. They found none. After that my LBS were told to keep the old one and that they would send a new one. Bosch failed to do so for another 2 weeks until they were reminded. Finally a black one arrived when we ordered a white one. Sigh. Meanwhile we've had the best summer in years, of course...

The only good thing to come out of this is that I got the new larger battery as a consolation. I also got to keep the old one, maybe I'll have a peek inside to see if cells can easily be changed.

Key is being signed up with Magura should not take 2 months if they have them in stock (rare they are out of stock for long). We can also get any of the former parts because we have an account with Magura who supply Bosch spare parts. They are normally quick but any dealer needs to pay up front for them before items are sent out.

Sounds like a lack of communication between the dealer and Bosch. The Germans are very efficient at replying and getting stock out every time we use them.

Although they do run out of some items. We have been waiting for parts for nearly 7 months before so maybe your battery got caught up in the same way. However they always informed us when the parts would be due back in.

I took the initiative to keep a good stock of parts here to get customer swiftly back on their way in the event of a problem.

Martin
