Hi all,
I asked a question a while back on failing batteries and both here and the guy I got them from suggestted that it was an internal mechanical failure of the battery due to shock/vibration.
With the help from a member here who sent me a charging socket I have made a new case following some suggestions also recieved here.
The attached pictures show the first battery and the total pack.
All batteries are now horizontal and are sitting on an old (thick) mouse mat with also a piece of mouse mat between each battery and the case at the rear. The case is made from an old estate agent sign and when folded the batteries are snug width wise. the wood is to protect the wiring from being crushed and the straps holding it down are from ebay (£3).
I still need to tidy the strap length and make it a bit more waterproof but so far it seems okay.
Thanks for all you help.
(the picture of the first battery was taken prior to fitting the charging socket which is why the two wires are heading off to some where else)
