UPS use electric trikes in Europe

It is good to see zero emissions being taken seriously again by large companies. I say again because the UK, and possibly elsewhere, used to have huge fleets of electric delivery trucks. Milk floats they were called, but I remember them beung used to deliver bread and soft drinks too. When I worked on power stations they were use to carry scaffold poles. Weren't some of those funny little Scammel artic units electric, too?

Used to be common in younger days - British Rail used them a lot, I believe.

The UPS trike-van in that link reminds me of the one I used to see when I was a Sprog, in Barnstaple: looked just like a van with the front half of a girder-fork motorbike sticking out the front.

The Scammels were 3 wheelers weren't they?

My uncle had one of those 3 wheeler things with the girder forks front. I think BSA, Raleigh and Reliant made them. Think his was a BSA.
