Using Makita 18V batteries to power a 36V ebike

I am mounting a 36V ebike battery. I intend to use two DIY generic Makita type 18V batteries in series. I bought some generic BMS (PCB board) Makita type to mount these two DIY batteries on AliExpress (link is here: https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/1005006079685165.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.29.616e1802D0uXRk&gatewayAdapt=glo2bra ). In the product description it is informed that these BMS works with Makita batteries models BL1815, BL1830, BL 1860, LXT400 and BL1850. My intention is to use these BMS to mount a 18V 14Ah (5S4P) Makita type battery. I suppose that, if these BMS can be used on Makita 18V batteries (no matter if 5S1P, 5S2P or 5S3P), then I can use them on my Makita 18V 5S4P batteries. Is that right?

Those sort of projects are good for fun, but not worth it if your plan is to get a working ebike. You can buy 36v batteries ready to go for around £100. Also, if I were to do such a project, I's make two 36v ones in parallel rather than 18v in series.

Thanks for the answer. I have this project because I already have those Makita 18V cases and I already bought those Makita 18V PCB boards. Do you think I can use those PCB boards?

Yes, they should be OK to manage the battery properly. Don't use recycle cells for an ebike.
