Unfortunately it was stolen today from soho square. Just incase anyone come across.

In the meantime, A new one from volt would cost me £100, and I'm on a tight budget ATM. Is there any cheaper alternative to the existing LCD, which would be removable as well?

sorry to hear that.
you may have to buy the one from Volt.
The LCD needs to talk to the controller and the communication code is specific for the controller and LCD.

For about £60 to £70, you can get a LCD, controller, pedal sensor, throttle and speed sensor from various Chinese suppliers. This would give you the opportunity to release the speed limit and maybe get a bit more power as well. You can also get that complete kit from Panda Bikes for about £100.

The main problem you would have with replacing that LCD is the connector. Even if you could find one with the right connector, there's no way to determine how it's wired unless you're good with electronics.

I’d keep my eyes open for another Volt around W1 which might well have your LCD on it.

The lcd is a Bafang/Volt collaboration and the green connection is the same as on the bbs01, the lcd c961/963 for bbs has the same female connector that mates with the male one. C961 is £22.50 but with delivery is £45.24 from BMSB the BIG BUT is will it work with the volt controller ?

your warranty is worth a lot more than £100.

You are right @trex. But how long can i afford to spend for the meter, every time its stolen? because I have to park the bike outside, as keeping it inside is not an option for me. :(

then you need to find a way to secure the LCD. Like usinng tamperproof M4 screws.

Just to point out (I need to do a new thread on this LOL) that if you register and log into BMSB the delivery costs nearly halve - I got £11.52 delivery, total £34.02. I'd wondered for a long time why the postage was so expensive, it's a glitch.

Thanks, you are right!! I also get the same price after registering....
Their C963 model is same as Volt one.. but its £20 more than the C961. And connector also looks the other way round....
