Had a dig around on the internet and I have yet to find a suitable controller box for my ebay kit. The kit came with a rather naff controller bag, it will do the job but I prefer to install something more robust / weatherproof. Given all the wire currently looped inside the bag the box needs to be rather larger than just the controller

But what? Closest I have found so far is : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SCAME-Surface-Waterproof-Junction-Box-120x80x50-IP55-Outdoor-6-Way-Electrical/122742376991?hash=item1c94040a1f:g:0IQAAOSwuiNZtEGT

It only really needs one hole, plus some means of fitting it to the bike. Internally I will probably pad it to protect the controller also. Cream colour is going to look well wired on my bike as pretty much everything is black

Bags are perfectly adequate. I've used them for years and seen less corrosion that what I've seen on controllers and connectors in boxes.

I used one of these on my last conversion. I poked a hole in the bottom to let the cables through. never seal a controller box. Always leave a hole at the bottom to let any water out.
