Hi Dave- be interested to know where from? I had a reply from Schwalbe:

Dear Peter,

Thank you for contacting Schwalbe UK, I am very sorry that you may be disappointed with our tyres, however the Marathon family are notorious for being difficult to fit to Bicycles and in all instances we recommend that tyres are purchased from a local bicycle shop were in most cases they will offer to fit the tyres for free.

Unfortunately after looking at the tyres I cannot say that this is a warranty issue as the tyre has suffered this during transit.

I would recommend that the tyres are returned to Amazon for a refund and that the bicycle is taken to a local bicycle shop for a new tyre to be fitted.

Its good that Schwalbe have confirmed that the tyres have suffered 'transit' damage.

I got mine from..

Cables, Gears Shifters items in CAMBRIDGE CYCLEMANIA store on eBay!
